Progroup's corrugated sheetfeeder plant in the northern Italian city of Cessalto successfully started regular operation.
The highly automated plant is geared towards maximum efficiency and quality. With an operating speed of 400 metres per minute and a working width of 3.35 metres, it produces Next Generation corrugated board sheets with particularly low grammages - sustainably and with a focus on resource conservation. The plant's annual capacity of about 200,000 tonnes and its finalisation within the planned deadlines and budget underlines the project's high efficiency and reliability.
With PW16 in Cessalto, Progroup once more utilises the successful innovative packaging park concept, geared towards long-term partnership and maximum efficiency. The corrugated sheetfeeder plant operates and produces right next door to its customer Ondulkart. This immediate proximity fundamentally optimises logistics processes.
The corrugated board sheets are conveyed directly from the fully automated high-bay warehouse with about 15,000 storage spaces into Ondulkart's packaging plant. An intelligent intralogistics system precisely manages the material flows, exactly as needed and without lags or delays. Here, the classic delivery by road is completely obsolete.

PW16, following PW11 in Drizzona, is the second Italian plant of the family-run business. With it, Progroup not only expands its production capacities, but also makes a clear statement in favour of sustainable growth and trusting partnerships in Europe's biggest corrugated sheetboard market.
