Miami paper alum Jake Hyland honored

OXFORD, Ohio -- Each year, Miami University recognizes 18 graduates of the prior 9 years who have demonstrated success thus far in their careers. In this year's class of honorees is Jake Hyland, a 2013 Paper alum.

Hyland is director of sales North America at Andritz, an Austrian-based technology and equipment supplier to the Pulp and Paper, Hydro Power, and Separations industries. At Andritz, Jake is responsible for the sale of capital equipment systems and projects in the Mechanical Pulping, Medium Density Fiber Board, and Refiner Systems divisions. Jake has been active since graduation with the Miami Paper Science and Engineering Foundation whose goal is the financial support of Miami students pursuing careers in the Pulp and Paper industry. Since 2014, Jake has chaired the Corporate Membership Committee of the Foundation, overseeing the Foundation's efforts to raise donations through outreach to corporations. During that time the Membership Committee has raised over $1.4 million dollars in corporate contributions. Jake lives in Indianapolis with his wife and fellow Miami alum, Sarah (Kinnaman) Hyland '12, and their two children Elle and Josie.
