Lecta Pursues Packaging Circularity In Line with the EU's New Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive (PPWR)

Lecta, firmly committed to sustainability and environmental protection, places circularity at the core of its business strategy. A key priority is the development of innovative packaging solutions based on natural, renewable, and recyclable raw materials--offering a more sustainable alternative to less eco-friendly materials, in keeping with the circular economy.

Lecta fully supports and is aligned with the European Union's new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which aims to reduce packaging waste and promote recyclability by establishing a harmonized legal framework across all Member States.

The new European directive, which went into effect in February 2025, will be broadly applicable as of August 12, 2026, with extended transition periods for certain requirements.

Lecta works consistently to ensure it is aligned with applicable regulations and has made available to its customers and stakeholders its official Lecta statement regarding Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) compliance
