Metsä Tissue achieves EcoVadis Platinum for the seventh consecutive year - further improving its score
Metsä Tissue has received Platinum rating in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment for the seventh consecutive year -- and this year's result is its strongest yet. The company scored 91 out of 100, up from 83 the previous year, placing it in the top one per cent of over 150,000 companies rated globally.

The eight-point increase was achieved across all four rating categories. Environment and Labor & Human Rights both reached 93/100. The improvement is notable not only for its scale, but for the context in which it was achieved: EcoVadis has progressively raised its assessment standards, making score improvements harder to earn over time.

"Our customers operate in markets where sustainability claims are common and trust in those claims is not. A score of 91, independently assessed, is verified data our customers and their customers can actually use. The growing rigour of assessments like EcoVadis reflects the reality of what European customers now require: evidence", says Sari Pajari-Sederholm, CEO of Metsä Tissue.

Four categories assessed. All four improved.

The EcoVadis assessment covers four categories: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Metsä Tissue improved in all four this year. Ethics, which had been the lowest-scoring category in 2025, was among the categories showing material progress.

Metsä Tissue's tissue and greaseproof paper products are made from fresh northern fibre. The company operates mills across Europe, supplying both professional and consumer markets under brands including Katrin, Lambi, Serla, Mola, Tento, and SAGA.
