Packaging Corporation of America reported fourth quarter 2025 net income of $102 million, or $1.13 per share, and net income of $209 million, or $2.32 per share, excluding special items.
Kasie Malcolm, a chemical engineering student participating in a co-op program through UMaine, died at the hospital last night from injuries sustained at the plant. Malcolm had worked at the mill since June.
Another worker involved in the incident was sent to Calais Hospital Tuesday night as well, with serious injuries; their condition is unknown at this time.
