Worker dies following accident at Clearwater facility

LADYSMITH, Wisconsin (From the Leader-Telegraph) -- A worker at the Clearwater Paper Company in Ladysmith died Tuesday morning from injuries apparently suffered in an accident at the facility.

Michael J. Quinlan, 46, was taken to Rusk County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to the Ladysmith Police Department, Quinlan was injured while working on a paper machine. The accident was reported at 5:07 a.m.

The police department is investigating the accident along with the Rusk County Coroner's Office, the paper company and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
