Wangqiu Song appointed President, Metsä Group China and Asia

CHINA (News release) -- Wangqiu Song has been appointed President, Metsä Group China and Asia, as of January 15, 2018. Song is to be responsible for corporate affairs of Metsä Group in China and Asia. He is also going to develop and support the Group's businesses in the region to achieve their targets. Song will play a key role in Metsä Group's strategic planning and implementation for its Asian businesses.

Song reports to EVP, Strategy Esa Kaikkonen and he is based in Shanghai. He operates in a matrix organisation reporting also to Metsä Group companies as separately agreed.

Metsä Group focuses on wood supply and forest services, wood products, pulp, fresh fibre paperboards and tissue and cooking papers.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: We are a large automation company that has a line of consistency transmitters, sample valves and sheet break detectors that are marketed through a rep. network. We are seeking someone with a strong background in consistency control to facilitate start-ups, provide troubleshooting and technical advice. The individual should have experience in all major types of consistency measurement technologies (blade, rotary, microwave and optical). Knowledge of sheet break detection technology is desirable as well. Willingness to travel to paper production facilities across the US is a must.

Travel & Living Expenses to be reimbursed along with an agreed upon daily per diem rate.
