Södra announces price hike

In order to contribute to the market's future need for biofuel and strengthen the profitability of the forest farm, Södra is adjusting the base price for GROT, i.e. branches and tops, as of February 28.

GROT is a valuable biofuel range that is often used in connection with regeneration felling in forestry. Demand for GROT has increased since 2023 and according to Södra's assessments, the demand will continue. In order to meet demand and at the same time contribute to the profitability of the forest farm, Södra adjusts the price of GROT, which means that the basic price is raised by SEK 30 ($2.9).

GROT normally has a lead time of around 1.5 years, this means that the GROT harvested now is available in the summer of 2025.

Södra was formed in 1938 from the idea that we are stronger together. Today, Södra is Sweden's largest forest owner association with more than 50,000 family foresters as members.
