Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. will further increase exports of household paper, paper containers and biomass materials, new President Akira Sebe has said. "We'll capture (demand) in overseas markets," he said in a recent interview. His company faces shrinking domestic demand for graphic paper mainly used for newspapers and copy papers.

Expressing keen interest in merger and acquisition opportunities abroad, he said, "We'll make our selections in South Asia, sub-Saharan Africa and other places where there is a demographic dividend (with a large workforce) as we examine demand trends".
