Mondi to shut down machine at mill

FINLAND -- Mondi announced that that on 21 August 2014, it has informed its employee representatives about the planned shutdown of paper machine one at its Lohja mill in Finland effective approximately 30 June 2015. The consultation process with all the mill´s employees will start immediately, the company said.

Mondi´s Lohja mill currently employs some 170 people and a maximum of 75 employees are estimated to be affected by this restructuring.

Mondi Lohja produces coated and uncoated specialty kraft papers for the release liner and release base markets, the medical, food packaging and food service markets.
