Metsä Tissue to cut 93 jobs at Kreuzau mill in Germany

Metsä Tissue, part of Metsä Group and one of Europe's leading producers of hygiene tissue papers, has successfully concluded the negotiations with the works council regarding its investment and capacity adjustment plan introduced in January 2025 in its Kreuzau mill in Germany.

As a result of the negotiations, the total reduction of employees is 93 out of original estimation of 123 and made without compulsory redundancies.

Kreuzau is one of the largest tissue paper mills in Europe and plays a central role within Metsä Group. The mill supplies customers in Central Europe with high-quality fresh fiber tissue paper products.
