LSC Communications announces temporary layoff of nearly 400 at Wisconsin facility
BARABOO, Wisc. (From news reports) -- LSC Communications, which has a printing facility in Baraboo, will begin layoffs April 20 of 393 people.

The company cites an unexpected drop in demand from customers due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a memo sent to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, the company says retail and catalog customers suddenly, and significantly, decreased purchase orders and cancelled events because they are either shut down or impacted by the loss of sales as a result of stay at home orders issued by governors across the country.

The company anticipates that the layoffs will be temporary through June 30, 2020, but may extend beyond that date, depending on the circumstances at the time.
