Lecta is fully aligned with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) goals to combat deforestation and forest degradation in supply chains. Despite the possibility of a new one-year postponement of the law's entry into force, Lecta continues to actively work to ensure compliance with the strict requirements of the EUDR as soon as they become compulsory.
We are closely monitoring the guidelines issued by the EU bodies involved in the new legislation, currently due to become effective on December 30, 2025. If the postponement goes ahead, the new proposed effective date would be December 30, 2026.
To clarify and explain the implications of the EUDR, and in the interest of transparency regarding Lecta's preparations for compliance with the regulation, we invite our customers and stakeholders to read the updated version of our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the EUDR available on our website.
Lecta will continue its efforts to protect the world's forests and promote the responsible sourcing of the wood and wood-derived products it uses to manufacture our products.
