International Paper Featured on Upcoming Episode of Mike Rowe's "How America Works"

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (News release) -- Mike Rowe's How America Works showcases the country's most essential industries, including one of America's oldest professions: the pulp and paper industry. Renewable fiber is used in hundreds of products people depend on every day, including pulp that goes into baby diapers, feminine care, adult incontinence and other personal care products that promote health and wellness. For a behind-the-scenes look at how it all works, International Paper's Columbus, Miss., mill welcomed Rowe's film crew to spend a day in the life of our team members.

"We're excited to have Mike Rowe share our team's passion - not only for what we do - but also for how we do it," said David Phillips, International Paper, mill manager, Columbus Mill. "Our business depends on the sustainability of forests. More than that, we know that our employees, investors and customers care about how we produce our products. Our focus on health and safety, customers, sustainability and quality makes our employees feel good about doing their job."

The episode will spotlight the day-to-day activity of International Paper's dedicated employees as they help to provide some of the biggest companies in the world with products made from renewable resources. Three International Paper employees will be featured in the episode: Janice Buckhalter, operations technician; Bo Dyer, shift technician; and David Phillips, mill manager. Together, these three employees have more than 90 years' experience in the pulp and paper industry.

The episode will air on Fox Business on Monday, June 27 at 8 PM EDT.
