MOORHEAD, Minnesota (From news reports) -- Moorhead firefighters broke down a morning fire at the Pactiv Evergreen facility in Moorhead on Friday, March 6.
According to a Moorhead Fire Department news release, crews were called about 7:18 a.m. to a structure fire at 3010 42nd St. S.
When crews arrived, employees directed them to a heat exhaust port, where the crews found a fire extension around a smokestack.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and contained it to the smokestack. The fire did not spread to any other structural components of the facility, the release stated.
No one was injured, and all employees were able to exit the building. Pactive Evergreen is a manufacturer and distributor of food service and packaging products.
Damage estimates are not yet available. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
