Fire at Pratt mill

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (From news reports) -- Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire at a Pratt mill in Travis Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 29.

The Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at Pratt Industries Paper Mills at 3:38 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

The fire was located on a conveyor belt, the spokesman said.

Firefighters had the fire under control at 4:12 p.m. and no injuries were reported, according to the spokesman.
