Death at Georgia-Pacific Dudley, N.C. facility believed to be accidental

DUDLEY, N.C. (From news reports) -- Wayne County officials say a man's death at a packaging plant appears to be accidental.

Patrick Coleman, 38, was found dead inside the plant at 2457 Old Mount Olive Highway in Dudley.

Wayne County EMS and Dudley fire were called there at 3:29 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office was then called in to investigate the death.

At this time, Wayne County officials say it appears to be accidental.

The NC Department of Labor will be leading the full investigation.

The same facility caught fire last December, forcing crews to endure below-freezing temperatures while battling it.
