Columbia Pulp reopens mill

DAYTON, Washington (From news reports) -- Columbia Pulp has officially reopened its Lyons Ferry mill, processing wheat straw for the creation of paper products such as food containers, towels and tissues, the company announced Thursday, June 3.

Uncertainties amid the COVID-19 pandemic kept the relatively new mill closed for more than a year.

Returning to full strength, the company expects to employ close to 100 workers.
