The U.S. Coast Guard and authorities responded just before 8:30 a.m. to the reported bomb threat at WestRock.

A call was received at the Fernandina Beach WestRock switchboard's main number, which the caller advised a bomb would detonate at 9:15 a.m., police said.

The Fernandina Beach Police Department, Nassau County Sheriff's Office and the Fernandina Beach Fire Department responded to the reported bomb threat.

The Fernandina Beach Police Department said the facility was evacuated while authorities conducted a search. The Coast Guard limited boat traffic near the mill.
