36 firefighters work to put out blaze at Roseburg Forest Products facility
MISSOULA, Mont. (From news reports) -- Three dozen firefighters worked with employees of Roseburg Forest Products to put out a Sunday morning fire.

Missoula Rural Fire District reports that the industrial fire was reported by a passerby who reported at 6:19 a.m. that they could see smoke and flames coming from the facility.

Firefighters report they could see a column of smoke rising from some distance away as they responded. Upon arrival, employees were on scene, putting water on the fire.

Firefighters worked for several hours to put out the stubborn flames, and had to access several difficult areas in order to put the fire out.

Equipment used included five engines, two truck companies, four water tenders, and three command vehicles.

The cause of the fire is unknown. The facility was not in use when the fire broke out.

The fire department thanked Missoula Emergency Services, Missoula County Sheriff's Office, and the Missoula City Fire Department for their assistance.

The Florence Fire Department, East Missoula Fire Department and Frenchtown Fire District helped cover the Missoula Rural Fire District while the fire was being fought.
