On stupid comments

In my column last week, we asked, "What do you think of Governor LePage's comment?"

A whopping 81.3 percent thought it was "Very inappropriate," 12.5 percent found it "Inappropriate," while 6.3 percent deemed it "Very appropriate."

Then we asked, "What do you think of the paper companies' complaint?"

6.3 percent answered "Very appropriate," 18.8 percent answered "Appropriate," 31.3 percent were "Neutral," 25 percent answered "Inappropriate," 12.5 percent answered "Very inappropriate," and 6.3 percent refused to answer the question.

We then asked, "What do you think of Robert Kraft's comments?"

6.3 percent answered "Very appropriate," 6.3 percent answered "Appropriate," 6.3 percent were "Neutral," 43.8 percent answered "Inappropriate," and 37.5 percent answered "Very inappropriate."

Finally we asked for any other comments, and here they are:

>Pay attention to your own preaching about safety! Hope your hand heals.

>Like you: Whether the Game is played for real or for fun, I had rather watch what tricks your dog Fred can do!

>Factories can use the rules to earn the money.... but ethical and really make the invoice printer spin... to earn the money.

>That wasn't Jim crashing his drone into the White House lawn, was it?

>Be careful with your toys

>Everyone is a victim anymore - it is getting very old.

>Robert, like the paper companies complaining about imports, has a duty to try and help his team. He is showing them support by saying this. I don't like NE and I they cheat any way they think they can get away with but the owner has to support his team.

>I agree with "public corporations (a) do not have emotions or inherent ethics (they are simply a pile of registration documents)", but it seems our Supreme Court disagrees based on their Citizens United decision.

>Go Seahawks!! Coach Pete has the attributes that are so rare in professional football.

>I agree sports figures: athletes, coaches, owners should be held to and should hold themselves to a high standard of conduct, as they are in a position of great influence.

>These people are also all locked into their "confederacy of dunces" as you posted the other week. I think they are also all people with well over inflated egos, and the only way they think they will be heard is by being more and more polarizing and extreme. This year though I am making it my mission not to get tied up in commentary and politics, but to simply focus on operational excellence. Cheers.
