Authorities seek identities of arsonists who set fire to Holyoke Sonoco mill; potential $5,000 reward offered

HOLYOKE, Massachusetts (From MassLive.com) -- A reward of up to $5,000 may be available for anyone who can help authorities find the people responsible for setting a fire at the Sonoco Products paper mill in Holyoke earlier this month.

The fire, which occurred on July 3 at approximately 9 p.m., was set in the company's cardboard bale storage yard, and caused upwards of $150,000 in lost products, according to the Holyoke Fire Department.

Officials say that the fire was "intentionally set."

The Holyoke Fire Department was at the scene of the fire for nine hours, and required assistance from the Westover Air Reserve Base Fire Department to put out the blaze.

Surveillance video of the yard captured images of two individuals who police believe are responsible for starting the fire.
