Voith to rebuild Enstra Paper's PM6 in Springs, South Africa

Enstra Paper has engaged Voith to rebuild its PM 6 for packaging paper in Springs, close to Johannesburg, in South Africa. Voith will supply a new BlueLine OCC stock preparation line to improve efficiency, runability and paper quality. The leading full-line supplier will also undertake substantial rebuild measures on the existing paper machine that was converted from newsprint to packaging papers in 2015.

Cutting-edge machine technology and concepts will lead to capacity increases for Enstra Paper. The start-up of the new facility is scheduled for early 2025.

With over 60 hectares of manufacturing space, Enstra Paper is not only in a favorable strategic location in South Africa close to the largest recovered paper supply but is also situated in the biggest market for recycled paper. Enstra Paper is fully integrated with one of the largest converters of paper into corrugated boxes with a national footprint.

The Voith Group is a global technology company.
