Valmet extends service agreement with AS Estonian Cell in Kunda, Estonia

Valmet has signed an extension of the service agreement with AS Estonian Cell aspen pulp mill in Kunda, Estonia. The previous three-year agreement between Estonian Cell and Valmet was extended to an additional five years. The value of the order will not be disclosed.

The service agreement covers continuous collaboration on spare parts, process evaluations and condition assessment of the mechanical equipment, as well as yearly shutdowns of the fiber line and baling line.

AS Estonian Cell is a Kunda-based aspen pulp mill, owned by the Austrian Heinzel Group. The mill produces 190,000 tons of aspen pulp a year, which is used in the production of printing paper, cardboard, tissue paper and special-use paper.

Valmet is a leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries.
