Answer to this week's riddle

Again, the riddle:

How is a Dalmatian's susceptibility to gout related to its prowess as a hunting dog?

Answer:Dalmatians are one of the few species (along with humans) that have uric acid in their blood – the build-up of which can lead to gout. "Excreting uric acid in place of a more soluble (and smelly) chemical makes Dalmatians good hunting dogs – other species cannot detect them by their odour!"
