Greenwashing

Hi Jim:

You know, green is not a primary colour, it is a secondary colour, in this way, green is a mix of colours, blue and yellow, each colour has specifical reflexion (blue 100% index reflection on 457 nm and yellow on near to 600 nm and the green depend of mix between 520-550 nm. You can measure all this with hunter lab hue colours.

Regards,

Johnny

From our weekly quiz:

1 It is apparent that playing to our pseudo-scientific bureaucrats only garners more pseudo-science. "Green" can't go fast enough to suit me.
2 Unfortunately in our current world, there are still so many idealistic people who want to see "green" at every turn of the page, whether realistic or not.
3 I don’t' think that it is dying but as a member of the general public, I am getting a little tired of the overuse of the term, particularly by "madison avenue" types who don't even have a vague understanding of its underlying meaning.
4 It will never die as long as gov't continues to plow money into the thought process. That said, i think it will continue to morph and eventually land in an arena that pays for itself and the attributes are better than our current alternatives - I’m not sure that applies to paper
5 Even TAPPI is using it in their slogans.
6 Ads are still claiming "green" for their issuer.
7 There are many large corporate customers as well as consumer goods producers who cannot give 'green'. They will also increase the emphasis to 'sustainable', such as how the labour is treated.
