Metsä Group to reduce wood supply emissions by 30 percent

Metsä Group aims to reduce fossil carbon dioxide emissions from wood supply in Finland by 30% from the 2022 level by 2030. As one way to reduce emissions, Metsä Group is introducing the use of electric and biogas lorries in the Kemi bioproduct mill's wood transports.

Asia Symbol starts up Voith-supplied board machine at Rugao mill in China

Voith successfully started up Asia Symbol's BM 13 at Rugao, China. The state-of-the-art machine is 8.16 m wide with a design speed of 1,400 m/min and an annual capacity of around one million tons. It mainly produces high-quality white folding boxboard in the basis weight range of 170 to 400 gsm.
