OnceMore®, the pioneering circular textile recycling system, has announced its expansion into the hospitality industry with a groundbreaking new partnership with PM & Vänner, a sustainability-driven hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant in Småland, Sweden, to provide a scalable solution to the sector's textile wastage problem.
Smurfit Kappa has completed a large-scale sustainability project at its Zülpich paper mill in Germany, which significantly reduces the plant's CO2 emissions. The Euro11.5 million investment included a major redesign of the plant's multi-fuel boiler to provide a more sustainable fuel source for the generation of steam and electricity.
Currently, the fire has been primarily extinguished but as is customary in such cases, the site will be monitored for hot spots for several more days. The fire did not damage the mill operations and the damage appears to have been confined to the wood chip storage bunkers and associated conveying systems.
