The fire did not impact the mill's operation, said Brennan Burks, corporate communications director for ND Paper. Mill officials suspended work temporarily in the boiler house area for safety reasons, Burks said. There were no reported injuries.
According to the Pixelle company on, 1/17/22 at 10:38 PM there was a fire in an outlying building in the back of the Chillicothe paper mill property. Mill resources were called and the City of Chillicothe Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished the fire.
