In the early evening on the 12th of May Sappi Europe's Alfeld Mill site, situated in Germany, reported a fire around the area of its paper machine 3. There have been no recorded casualties and an evaluation by official experts is underway to assess the cause of the fire and the resulting damage to the paper machine.
