For the past several years we have been talking about "driverless trucks" at some point during the month of February. Mobile Fire Fighters were called back out to Kimberly Clark Paper Mill on around 1:45 Thursday morning. There was a small fire on the rooftop. It is similar to a small fire that sparked Tuesday.
The state Employment Security Department announced Wednesday that the mill will officially begin laying off employees May 1. Mill owner Georgia-Pacific, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, first announced the layoffs in November but hadn't said when they would happen.
