SEATTLE (From news reports) -- Weyerhaeuser, one of the world's largest private owners of timberlands, announced the company is donating $250,000 to several organizations providing relief efforts in North Carolina after Hurricane Florence.

The grants will be distributed to organizations in Craven, Beaufort, Washington and Pitt counties.

Regional Timberlands Manager, Brian Chaney, said more than 500 Weyerhaeuser employers call this area home and the company wanted to show support for local relief organizations and give back to their communities during this challenging time.
