INDIA (From The Hindu) -- A migrant laborer from Bihar was reportedly shredded in a machine used to make pulp in a paper mill located near Bhavani Sagar on Tuesday morning.

Barring a small bone and a few pieces of the T-shirt that he wore, his entire body had turned into pulp.

He was suspected to have fallen into the conveyor belt, according to police sources.

Some among the over 20 other workers, all from Bihar, were said to have identified the shredded parts of the T-shirt worn by the victim.

The search for other body parts in the pulp heap continued till late in the evening.

The police had been told by the co-workers that the victim was a 19-year-old boy.

"We are unable to confirm the age since the boy has no relatives here and the co-workers were from different parts of Bihar who had become familiar with one another only at the work spot," said Ravi, Inspector of Bhavani Sagar Police Station.

The management of the industrial unit is stated to have furnished the victim's age as 21 to the police.

A case has been registered.

The Department of Industrial Safety and Health could not immediately determine the victim's age.
