RockTenn will invest more than $100 million at mills

NORCROSS, Georgia - RockTenn has announced a pair of investments at its mills in Demopolis, Alabama, and Stevenson, Alabama. RockTenn will invest in a new $70 million biomass boiler in Demopolis, and will invest $46 million at the Stevenson pulp mill to reduce fiber and chemical use. When complete, the company expects to generate after-tax returns in excess of 25 percent. The company said the Demopolis project is under way, and start-up is anticipated in January 2016.
