Precision Paper Converters (PPC) has announced the $5.8 million expansion of its facility in Kaukauna, Wisconsin and installation of a state-of-the-art facial tissue interfolder and cartoner.

The Bretting interfolder, named "VARiUM", is the first of its kind in North America and the patent pending technology allows for variable cutoff lengths and folded panel widths.

The new equipment is also designed to improve ergonomics and safety levels for operators, both important factors to Precision Paper Converters. The machine installation is complete and startup began in late October. PPC expects to be running at full speed in the first quarter of 2017.
