KAMLOOPS, B.C. (From news reports) -- Police in Kamloops have confirmed the identity of a body that was found at the Domtar pulp mill last week.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release that an autopsy was completed March 12, and the body has been identified as 67-year-old David Michael Jeff.

He was among the Williams Lake residents that were evacuated to Kamloops last July during the province's worst wildfire season.

Jeff had been reported missing on July 31, 2017 while resulted in an extensive investigation, including search efforts being conducted by Kamloops RCMP, family and friends.
