PERRY, Fla. (From WCTV) -- Members from the United Steel Workers Union have voted to accept a new contract from Foley Cellulose.

The contract agreement comes after a year-long dispute between the union and Georgia Pacific.

With the approval of a new contract, the workers at the Cellulose mill will not go on strike.

Georgia Pacific's Scott Mixon sent out this statement after the vote was announced:

"We are pleased and thankful that our employees of USW 1192 voted to accept and ratify the new agreement with Georgia-Pacific's Foley Cellulose mill on June 28th. The long-term success of the Foley Cellulose Mill is important to all of us and to our community. We will continue to work with our employees to improve operations and strengthen our long term competitive position to provide cellulose products for our global customers. Georgia-Pacific is committed to investing in the Foley mill and operate in a way that is more reliable and productive."
