OXFORD, Alabama (From news reports) -- Firefighters from Oxford and at least two other fire departments put out a blaze Saturday afternoon, April 11, at the National Gypsum Company facility near Bynum.
At 3 p.m., the plant was surrounded by fire trucks from the Oxford, Eastaboga and Ohatchee fire departments, with a ladder truck spraying water on the roof of the plant while smoke seeped from multiple points on the roof.
