DELAWARE, Ohio (From The Columbus Dispatch) -- The former president and CEO of Greif Inc. will receive $2.15 million from the company under a separation agreement disclosed on Monday, plus bonuses and other pay.

David Fischer stepped down effective on Oct. 31, a move announced on Oct. 13.

Fischer had been CEO since 2011 of the Delaware-based packaging manufacturer.

The agreement says the $2.15 million is spread over two years, according to a regulatory filing.

Fischer also will receive bonuses based on the company's recent performance, along with other benefits whose total value was not disclosed. In exchange, he agrees not to work for any competing company and will not disparage Greif, among other conditions.
