DowDuPont Adds a Hyphen Online After Watch Seller Claims Website

DowDuPont Adds a Hyphen Online After Watch Seller Claims Website | Dow, DuPont, merger,

WILMINGTON, Del. (From news reports) -- DowDuPont Inc. says please don't go to www.dowdupont.com -- unless you want to buy a watch.

It seems the world's largest chemical maker was beaten to the punch by a Chinese watch retailer, Shanghai Dao Du Peng International Trade Co., which laid claim to the website long before the merger of Dow Chemical and DuPont was completed two weeks ago. Enter the hyphen, which isn't part of the DowDuPont name, but now is an integral part of the company's Internet presence.

So unless you're in the market for an authentic D.O.W.DUPONT timepiece, www.dow-dupont.com is probably where you want to be.
