LEWISTON, Idaho (From news reports) -- A 40-year-old Clearwater Paper employee was seriously injured at about 3 p.m. on Christmas afternoon. Justin Fleury was working at the east pulp mill fiberline tank farm when he reportedly sustained burns to his legs and hands.

"The source of the burns was a portable propane heater," the company's Public Information Officer Matt Van Vleet says. There were no other injuries.

Fleury was treated at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. He is listed in satisfactory condition a hospital official says.

Van Vleet says an investigation is under way by the company's employee health and safety experts.

"At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with the employee and family," Van Vleet added.
