WASHINGTON - The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) has selected Barbara Riley as communications director. Riley will be responsible for managing AF&PA's media relations and outreach initiatives in support of key association priority issues and integrated policy campaigns.

"We are excited to have Barbara on board to help implement a proactive media strategy in support of AF&PA's policy objectives. Her insider knowledge of Capitol Hill and federal issues, coupled with her expertise in media relations, make her a great addition to AF&PA," said AF&PA President and CEO Donna Harman.

Riley brings to AF&PA more than 20 years political communications experience on U.S. House and Senate staffs. Most recently, she served as Communications Director to Congressman Ander Crenshaw of Florida. Previously, Barbara was Communications Director to John E. Sununu when he served both as a Congressman and then Senator from her home state of New Hampshire. She began her career in Washington serving as Press Secretary for Congressman Bill Zeliff of New Hampshire.

Prior to making her home in Washington, D.C., she reported for two New Hampshire publications - Foster's Daily Democrat and the Rochester Courier.
