2 hurt at Georgia-Pacific mill fire

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (From the Green Bay Press-Gazette) - Two firefighters were treated at a hospital on Thursday for heat-related injuries sustained while battling a fire at Georgia-Pacific's mill on Green Bay's west side.

The fire at the mill started shortly after 9 a.m. during demolition of the interior of a building that is being renovated, according to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.

It took 60 firefighters more than four hours to extinguish the fire. The fire department was assisted by the three area fire departments.

Damage to the building was estimated at US $200,000.
