In my column last week, we asked "If you use time and material contracts, how closely do you monitor the performance?"

100 percent replied "I treat them as if they were our own employees."

Next, we asked, "Have you ever been unhappy with the results of a time and material contract?"

"Seldom" was the top response, followed by "Often" and "Sometimes."
