Håkan Larsson to become Director of Strategy for the Södra Group

Håkan Larsson, Director of Forestry and President of Södra Skog, will assume responsibility for strategic issues within the Södra Group. He will remain a member of Södra's Group Senior Management and continue to report to the President, Lars Idermark.

"After more than four very rewarding and stimulating years as President of Södra Skog and over 20 years of engagement in this business area, I feel that I'm ready for a change. I am very happy, therefore, for this opportunity to work with Södra's more long-term issues," said Håkan Larsson.

"Rapid and major changes are taking place in our business environment. Increased globalisation and digitisation is changing companies' business models. The role of forests as an active player in a more forest-based bioeconomy is subject to growing demand. Håkan Larsson is a driven and experienced person and will now be working with these strategic issues for the entire Group, which will generate major business value for Södra," said Lars Idermark.

The change will take effect on 1 September and mean that Håkan Larsson will be stepping down from his position as President of Södra Skog. A process to recruit a successor to the Director of Forestry position will begin immediately. The Interim President of the Södra Skog business area will be Södra's Wood Supply Manager, Olof Hansson.
