CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (From news reports) -- Firefighters from Cedar Rapids and around the area battled a large fire Saturday at an International Paper facility.

Cedar Rapids firefighters responded to a call of an industrial fire at 8 a.m. Saturday.

By Saturday evening, the fire at the paper milling facility was under control but continued to burn, according to city news release,

The fire posed no threat to the rest of the plant or to the community, the release said.

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department deployed all six engines and received assistance from the Ely, Fairfax, Hiawatha, Marion, Mount Vernon and Swisher fire departments, as well as Area Ambulance.

Firefighters planned to work through the night to contain the fire.

Crews at the scene were working to move paper and cardboard out of the buildings, the news release said.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated and released. No other injuries were reported.
