KAUKAUNA, Wisconsin (From WLUK) -- Fire in a ventilation system at a Kaukauna paper mill was quickly put out Friday afternoon, the 13th of January.

Firefighters say they were called to Expera Speciality Solutions around 2:45 p.m. Employees reported a fire in the ventilation system above one of the paper machines. Before firefighters arrived, the company's fire brigade had already begun to attack the fire.

Firefighters say the fire had spread in the ventilation system, but they were able to put it out within about a half-hour.

Extra smoke was ventilated out of the building using a separate ventilation system.
