Expera Launches Resin-Gard Saturating Papers

KAUKAUNA, Wis. -- Expera Specialty Solutions is adding a new product brand, Resin-Gard, representing its advanced line of saturating papers. Expera's saturating papers are engineered to achieve uniform saturant (resin and latex) pickup required by manufacturers to meet finished product strength and performance requirements. Resin-Gard™ also offers dimensional stability and surface properties that meet specific processing needs, providing customers with a comprehensive line of quality products.

"Expera has been an expert in saturating papers for decades," said Robyn Buss, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Expera Specialty Solutions. "By launching Resin-Gard™ we are continuing to provide the market with multiple application possibilities; building and construction, home décor, recreation and filter medium. The possibilities are endless."

Advanced characteristics of Resin-Gard™ include uniform formation, allowing even saturation and pickup, controlled porosity, optimum saturation properties, a broad basis weight range of 35-325gsm, and consistent and efficient strength properties achieved by advanced fiber selection and a unique manufacturing process.

In addition, Resin-Gard™ Saturating Papers are available in blended furnish products to create custom colors, bleached or natural. Natural kraft offers an environmentally sensitive option that Expera is able to produce along with certified products and grades containing up to 100 percent post-consumer waste (PCW). Expera also uniquely offers customers Chain of Custody certified papers not only through the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), but also through the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) and PEFC®.
